These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Sanctions Sleuth mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”), provided by MB Colewort Consulting (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Purpose of the Service
Sanctions Sleuth helps users search publicly available sanctions-list information. The Service is provided for general informational purposes only. It is not legal, compliance, financial, or professional advice and is not a substitute for appropriate due diligence or advice from a qualified professional.
No Official or Professional Determination
Sanctions Sleuth is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official service of any government or sanctions authority. Search results may be incomplete, delayed, unavailable, or inaccurate. A possible match does not establish that a person or entity is sanctioned, and the absence of a match does not establish that a person or entity is not sanctioned.
You are responsible for verifying information directly with the relevant official authority before making legal, financial, compliance, business, or other consequential decisions.
Permitted Use
You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You must not:
- Use the Service in violation of applicable laws or regulations.
- Attempt to disrupt, damage, overload, bypass, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems.
- Use automated means to access or extract data from the Service except where we have expressly permitted it.
- Misrepresent Service results as an official sanctions determination or as professional advice.
- Use the Service to infringe the rights of another person or entity.
Third-Party Data and Services
The Service may rely on sanctions data, advertising, websites, or other services provided by third parties. Third-party content and services are governed by their own terms and policies. We do not control and are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, content, or practices.

Public sanctions data remains subject to the rights and terms of its respective source. These terms do not transfer ownership of any intellectual property to you.

We may update, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any particular sanctions source will remain available.
Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for loss of profits, data, business, reputation, or opportunity arising from or related to use of, inability to use, or reliance on the Service or its results.
